There’s flowers popping out everywhere in our nursery – here are a few that we really liked today. The first is Gazania Copper Queen with it’s lovely deep orange/red colour and double centres. The second is Verbena tenuisecta – a very old variety that will quickly spready to form a purple carpet. The first of our Amaryllis are coming out – here is Dancing Queen – absolutely HUGE double flowers and in contrast is the Armeria Pretty Petite – a mass of little pink balls. All are available on our website www.gardenpost.co.nz right now.Lilies
The Lily season is approaching and we have the first of our Oriental lilies out in flower. These are from imported bulbs which is why they are flowering so early. Pictured in the deepest red of all Oriental Lilies – Montezuma. The colour is remarkable – really deep burgundy and of course the perfume goes without saying. !
Also we have Lake Carey. Really large flowers, deep pink with darker markings. A lady rang us the other day saying she had one of these out in flower and said she had never seen such a spectacular flower! Wow!
We are now working on having Oriental Lilies available all year around – more of that later. In the meantime look at our gorgeous Amaryllis bulbs – available now on our website.

Gorgeous Daffodils
Spring is here
Despite all the wet and windy weather we have some delightful spring bulbs coming into flower. We just love this Daffodil Thalia – just like little angel wings.
Just come into flower this week were our Freesias – This is Freesia Rose Marie. Although the single fressias are not as fragrant as the doubles, the colours and flower sizes are really superb.

Gorgeous little spring flowers
We snapped these two photos today – the first signs of spring. Crocus Purity is in full bloom and our new miniature daffodil Spring
Sunshine is flowering now at the same time as it’s mother Tete a Tete. Spring Sunshine has tiny flowers with lemon petals and dark yellow cup. Tete a Tete is all yellow. We are thrilled with these little darlings.
